Dear T-Boz
Hello Tionne,
From one businesswoman to another, I just wanted to say that I respect what you’re doing here in the city of Houston by starting your own children’s boutique. You are providing a great example to women everywhere that anything is possible. My daughter admires all that you stand for, so I thank you, thank you, thank you, for who you are and as well as what you stand for. I was hoping that you could give me some insight as to what prompted you to open the boutique in the first place. I know you started it, and named it after your daughter, but that’s pretty much all I know. Please fill me in on your thinking behind Chase’s Closet, and how much involvement you had in the process. Well, I wish you nothing but future success, as I know the best is yet to come. I hope to hear back from you.
Warm Wishes, Aspiring Entrepreneur

Dear Aspiring Entrepreneur,
I thank you for the kind words in your letter. Opening Chase’s Closet was a challenge but one that was worth every bit of the work. To me a lot of people do a lot of talking about what they are going to accomplish in life. Let’s say (knock on wood) that my boutique doesn’t blow up. The fact that I got off my butt and even tried it is to me a success within itself. I worked hard to open these doors and accomplish what I said I was going to do. I’ve only been open since the second week of January and was voted the best baby store in Houston after only the first three months of being open. I can’t describe to you my feelings regarding Chase’s Closet. It’s almost like the first time that I heard my song on the radio. I personally spent a lot of time and energy making this a reality, adding my own personal touches to the boutique. Chase’s Closet is actually very close to the color scheme that’s in my daughter’s bedroom. This is for people that like to shop like me. People who like their kids to look different. I’m not afraid to tell anyone that I have a shopping problem, so this is a way for me to do what I love. The initial problem with Chase’s Closet was I didn’t want everyone to look like my child at first. But I got over that, and here we are. I hope that helps describe what went into the thought process of Chase’s Closet. Feel free to write me back to tell me about your business endeavors. I’m sure that you are going to be successful in whatever you have set your heart on. Tell your daughter I said “hello,” and thank you for being a fan.
Love,
Tionne
